Abstract

In the evolving landscape of e-commerce, the delivery of clothing and fashion items has become a pivotal aspect of enhancing customer satisfaction. The integration of advanced technologies such as Last Mile Logistics (LML), Recommendation Systems, and Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) into e-commerce platforms promises to revolutionize how customers interact with brands and receive their products. This paper discusses the development of an e-commerce website designed for a clothing delivery brand that leverages these three key technological pil- lars to enhance user experience, improve logistics efficiency, and boost overall sales perfor- mance. Last Mile Logistics (LML) focuses on the final stage of the delivery process, where prod- ucts are transported from a distribution hub to the customers doorstep. In the case of cloth- ing brands, effective LML is essential to ensure timely, cost-efficient, and accurate deliveries, which are critical to maintaining customer loyalty. This study explores how LML solutions can be optimized by incorporating real-time tracking systems, route optimization algorithms, and crowd-sourced delivery models. By analyzing geographical data and customer preferences, the platform adapts its delivery mechanisms to ensure swift, accurate, and eco-friendly deliveries. Recommendation Systems play a crucial role in enhancing the customer shopping experi- ence. Personalized recommendations are made by analyzing user behavior, preferences, and purchase history. This study examines the application of collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, and hybrid recommendation systems within the e-commerce platform to offer tai- lored clothing suggestions. Machine learning algorithms enable the platform to constantly learn from customer feedback and interaction, thus refining recommendations over time. By offer- ing highly personalized shopping experiences, the website can significantly improve customer engagement and conversion rates. In addition, the integration of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) into the e-commerce platform aims to mitigate common challenges faced by online clothing retailers, such as product fit, visualization, and customer hesitation before making purchases. Through AR and VR, users can virtually try on clothes, visualize how they would look in different out- fits, and even explore virtual storefronts. This not only enhances customer confidence in their purchasing decisions but also reduces return ratesa significant issue in the online clothing in- dustry. Virtual try-on features allow customers to select the right size and style more accurately, ensuring higher satisfaction levels post-purchase.
