Legal Insight is an AI-powered platform designed to automate and streamline the bail application process in Indias legal system. At its core, the system leverages IndicBERT a language model pre-trained on Indian languages and is fine-tuned on the HLDC dataset to accurately assess bail eligibility from complex legal documents. By extracting key legal indicators from FIRs and case files, the model assists in rapid decision-making while reducing human error. To further enhance transparency, a rule-based reasoning layer provides clear justifications for each prediction, referencing IPC sections when relevant. The platform also incorporates multilingual translation, enabling users to input documents in English or Hindi, making it inclusive and accessible to a wider audience. Legal Insight addresses judicial delays by enabling quicker, data-backed bail decisions, supporting undertrial prisoners, legal professionals, and courts. With its focus on efficiency, fairness, and scalability, this solution represents a significant step forward in legal technology and justice reform.
