Abstract
Legal research, a cornerstone of legal practice, often involves navigating vast and unstructured repositories of information, making it an inherently time-intensive and inef- ficient process. Traditional methods, reliant on manual analysis and static resources, fail to meet the growing demands for speed and accuracy in todays digital age. Addressing this challenge, the project Legalize: LLM Agent for Legal Web Research presents an intelligent and automated solution. By leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), the system streamlines the retrieval of ac- curate and contextually relevant legal information, transforming how legal professionals, researchers, and students engage with complex legal data. The system integrates SerpAPI for precise and dynamic web-based data retrieval with a Telegram bot interface, ensuring seamless accessibility and user-friendly interac- tions. LLMs process natural language queries to extract meaningful insights while main- taining contextual integrity. This design enables real-time query handling and delivers tailored responses, significantly enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of legal research. Results from rigorous testing highlight the systems ability to reduce search time, improve the relevance and precision of legal references, and streamline research workflows. By addressing critical gaps such as reliance on outdated methods, limited automation, and the challenges of unstructured data, Legalize stands out as a modern and scalable solution. Beyond its immediate applications, the project sets the stage for future advance- ments, including enhanced contextual understanding, multilingual support, and integra- tion with a broader array of legal databases. It redefines the paradigm of legal research, offering a transformative step toward making legal information more accessible, efficient, and actionable in todays fast-paced, data-driven world.
