Abstract
Shrike is a modern game development framework designed to simplify the creation of webbased games, simulations, and 3D visualizations. It integrates a real-time physics engine, advanced material simulation, dynamic rendering pipeline, and a lightweight scripting system, enabling developers to build complex projects directly within a browser environment. The framework offers a high level of abstraction through a modular Entity-Component-System (ECS) architecture, allowing users to focus on creativity rather than low-level technical details. Shrikes browser-based scene editor streamlines workflows by providing real-time object manipulation, material editing, physics property management, and live scene previews without the need for external tools. Built with WebGL2 and JavaScript, Shrike ensures broad platform compatibility, fast loading times, and efficient GPU utilization. The framework is ideal for indie developers, web designers, and 3D modelers, supporting physically based rendering (PBR), real-time physics simulation, and customizable scripting functionalities. By bridging the gap between technical complexity and creative freedom, Shrike empowers users to rapidly prototype, develop, and deploy interactive 3D applications, offering a lightweight, accessible, and powerful solution for the next generation of web-based interactive experiences.
