Abstract

The integrity of judicial deposits and forensic evidence is critical to the fair functioning of Indias legal system. However, current systems suffer from vulner abilities such as data tampering, lack of transparency, and inefficiencies due to manual oversight. These limitations pose serious risks to the credibility of legal processes, especially when handling sensitive financial transactions and forensic data. This project presents a blockchain-based solution aimed at transforming the management of judicial deposits and forensic reports through decentralization and immutability. By utilizing smart contracts, the system automates and secures the handling of judicial deposits such as fines and bail amounts ensuring that all transactions are transparent, traceable, and resistant to manipulation. Forensic reports are stored using secure off-chain systems like IPFS, while their cryptographic hashes are recorded on the blockchain to preserve authenticity and prevent tampering. To further enhance data protection, the system incorporates robust role-based access control, allowing only authorized personnel to access or modify sensitive information. This approach not only strengthens trust in the legal process but also lays the foundation for a more secure, efficient, and transparent judicial infrastructure.
